Docebo pricing: how it works and what drives the cost
Docebo does not publish prices. This guide explains its two pricing tiers, the three ways it counts users, who it is built for, and the questions to ask before you request a quote. Checked on 25 September 2026.
How Docebo pricing works
Docebo does not list prices on its website. Every customer gets a quote from its sales team. According to Docebo's pricing page, the quote depends on two things: the product tier you choose and the number of active users on your platform.
Two tiers: Elevate and Enterprise
Docebo offers two core pricing tiers, Elevate and Enterprise, each with its own feature set and optional add-ons. Within each tier, the price scales with your user model and usage.
Three ways to count users
| User model | Who is counted | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly Active Users (MAU) | Users active within a given month | Training with uneven activity through the year |
| Yearly Active Users (YAU) | Users active at any point in the contract year | Programmes where most users log in at least once a year |
| Registered Active Users (RAU) | All users marked as active, with licences that can be deactivated and reassigned | Stable user populations such as employees |
Choosing the right model can change your bill as much as choosing the tier. If a large share of your learners only log in for an annual compliance course, a monthly model and a yearly model will price very differently.

Who Docebo is built for
Docebo says it is typically best suited to organisations that:
- train at least 250 learners, across employees, partners and customers
- are outgrowing their current LMS and need a more flexible system
- run learning programmes across multiple business units
- may need to translate learning content into other languages
- 360Learning alternatives
On setup fees, Docebo's answer is that it depends on your situation, so ask for them to be itemised in your quote.
Questions to ask before you request a Docebo quote
- Which user model (MAU, YAU or RAU) fits our actual login pattern, and what does each cost for our numbers?
- Which features we need are in Elevate, which need Enterprise, and which are paid add-ons?
- Is there a setup or implementation fee, and what does it cover?
- What happens to the price if our active users grow mid-contract?
- What is the minimum contract length, and how does renewal pricing work?
- Are mobile apps, integrations and content libraries included or extra?
Our guide to LMS pricing models and total cost explains how per-user, active-user and flat pricing compare over a few years.
Worked example: how the user model changes the count
Take a company with 1,000 employees on the platform. On average 300 log in during any given month, and 800 log in at least once during the year.
| User model | Users counted | When it tends to suit |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly Active Users (MAU) | About 300 each month | Activity spread thinly across the year |
| Yearly Active Users (YAU) | 800 for the year | Most people log in at some point, but not monthly |
| Registered Active Users (RAU) | 1,000 | A stable population that uses the platform regularly |
Which model is cheapest depends on the per-user rate Docebo quotes for each, which is not published. Before the sales call, pull a year of login data from your current LMS or estimate it by audience, and ask Docebo to price all three models against those numbers. It is the single best way to compare a Docebo quote with flat-priced alternatives.
