LMS and course platform pricing, explained plainly
What the popular learning platforms really cost: plan prices, transaction and processing fees, user limits and add-ons, checked against each vendor's own pricing page.
Pick a platform
How to compare LMS pricing fairly
Headline monthly prices rarely tell you what a platform will cost. Before comparing, put every option into the same shape:
- The plan you actually need. Find the lowest plan that includes your must-haves, such as certificates, branding removal, SSO or live classes. That is often not the cheapest plan.
- Fees on sales. Add any transaction fee, per-enrollment fee or revenue share, plus payment processing, at the sales you expect.
- User pricing. If the platform prices by user, active user or learner band, price it at next year's numbers.
- Add-ons. Mobile apps, extra contacts, AI credits, storage and content libraries are often sold separately.
- Yearly total. Compare annual cost, and ask what renewal will cost.
Our guide to LMS pricing models and total cost of ownership walks through each pricing model with the trade-offs.
How we keep these guides accurate
Every figure comes from the vendor's own public pricing page, with the date we checked it and a link to the source. We do not estimate or invent prices for vendors that do not publish them; instead we explain how their pricing works and what to ask. Prices change, so always confirm on the vendor's site before you buy.
