What a school needs from an LMS

A school LMS is where teaching continues outside the classroom: recorded lessons for revision, notes and worksheets, homework and online tests, and live classes when students cannot attend in person. It also has to work for three audiences at once: teachers who need it to be quick, students who mostly use phones, and parents who want to know how their child is doing.

A note on scope: AcadifyLab is a learning platform, not a full school management (ERP) system. It handles teaching, learning, tests and fees for courses; schools usually keep their existing system for admissions records and administration.

Where schools get most value

Revision and exam preparation

Recorded lessons and regular chapter tests let students revise at their own pace, and results show teachers which topics need re-teaching.

Hybrid and remote days

When some students cannot attend, or the school moves online for a period, classes continue on the same timetable with attendance recorded.

Extra programmes

Olympiad preparation, bridge courses, summer programmes and after-school classes can run and be paid for on the same platform.

The school's own app

On higher plans, the app is published under the school's name, which parents trust more than a generic app. See white label LMS.

Getting started

  1. Start with one class and one subject: upload notes and recorded lessons.
  2. Set a weekly chapter test and share the results with the teacher.
  3. Run one live revision class and check attendance.
  4. Extend to other subjects and classes once teachers are comfortable.
