Teachable alternatives
For creators outgrowing the Starter fee and product limits.
Kajabi is an all-in-one creator business platform with a price to match. If you mainly teach, sell a few courses or run a community, one of these alternatives may fit better. Prices checked on 25 September 2026.
Kajabi bundles courses, a website, email marketing, funnels, a community and checkout into one subscription, starting at $143 a month on annual billing. That is good value if you use most of it. The most common reasons people look elsewhere are:
| Platform | Entry price (annual billing) | Platform fee on sales at entry | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| AcadifyLab | Flat plans, see pricing | None | Teaching live batches, tests and courses under your own brand |
| Thinkific | $40/mo | None (processing applies) | A course-first storefront with room to grow |
| Teachable | $29/mo | 7.5% on Starter | Low-cost start for self-paced courses |
| Podia | $42/mo | 5% on Mover | Simple courses, downloads and email together |
| Skool | $9/mo | 10% on Hobby | Community-led courses and live calls |
| LearnWorlds | $24/mo | $5 per enrollment on Starter | Interactive video and white-label academies |
Prices from each vendor's pricing page, checked 25 September 2026, in US dollars before tax. Payment processing fees from Stripe, PayPal or the platform's own processor apply separately.
Choose AcadifyLab if your courses involve live teaching and testing. It combines recorded courses, live classes on Zoom and Google Meet with automatic attendance, tests and mock exams, batches and branches, payments and certificates. It takes no share of course revenue, publishes its plans openly, and higher plans publish Android and iOS apps under your own brand. It does not replace Kajabi's email marketing and funnel builder, so pair it with an email tool if you rely on those. See online course platform and white label LMS.
Thinkific is a course-first platform with a checkout, communities, certificates and live cohorts on its Start plan. Annual plans start at $40 a month, well below Kajabi's entry price, although its branded app is a $199-a-month add-on. See our Thinkific pricing guide.
Teachable's Starter plan costs $29 a month on annual billing, but charges a 7.5% transaction fee. Builder removes that fee at $69 a month. It includes student apps and handles global sales tax. See our Teachable pricing guide.
Podia covers courses, downloads, coaching, a community, a website and email in a simpler package. The Mover plan costs $42 a month billed yearly with a 5% fee; Shaker, at $84, removes Podia's fees.
Skool puts a community, courses and live calls in one place, with unlimited members on both plans. Hobby costs $9 a month with a 10% transaction fee, and Pro costs $99 a month with a 2.9% fee. It is deliberately simple, so check it covers the selling and branding you need.
LearnWorlds focuses on interactive video, assessments and SCORM, with full white-label on its Learning Center plan. Starter charges $5 per paid enrollment. See our LearnWorlds pricing guide.

Among the options here, Skool's Hobby plan ($9 a month) and Teachable's Starter plan ($29 a month billed annually) have the lowest entry prices, but both charge a transaction fee on sales: 10% and 7.5% respectively.
AcadifyLab and Thinkific charge no platform fee on sales at entry level, as do Teachable Builder, Podia Shaker and LearnWorlds Pro Trainer. Payment processing fees still apply.
