LearnWorlds alternatives
When enrollment fees, learner limits or the app add-on add up.
Thinkific is a solid course platform, but key features sit on higher tiers and its branded app is a paid add-on. These alternatives are worth comparing before you upgrade. Prices checked on 25 September 2026.
Thinkific's Basic plan starts at $40 a month billed annually, but several features people expect sit higher up. Certificates and live cohorts start on Start ($82). Removing Thinkific branding, API access and invoicing start on Grow ($164). SSO and SCORM are on Plus, and the branded mobile app is a $199-a-month add-on. See our Thinkific pricing guide for the detail.
So the real question is often not "is Thinkific good?" but "what will the plan I need actually cost, and does another platform include it lower down?"
| Platform | Entry price (annual billing) | Branded app | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| AcadifyLab | Flat plans, see pricing | Your own apps on higher plans | Live batches, tests and courses under your brand |
| Teachable | $29/mo (7.5% fee on Starter) | Student apps on all plans | A cheaper start for self-paced courses |
| LearnWorlds | $24/mo + $5 per enrollment | Add-on | Interactive video, SCORM and white-label |
| Kajabi | $143/mo | Recommended on Pro | All-in-one marketing and courses |
| Podia | $42/mo (5% fee on Mover) | Check Podia's plan details | Simple courses, downloads and email |
Prices from each vendor's pricing page, checked 25 September 2026, in US dollars before tax. Processing fees apply separately.
Worth a look if you teach live or assess learners. Courses mix recorded lessons, live classes with automatic attendance, quizzes, tests and mock exams, with certificates issued on every plan. There is no fee on sales, plans are published openly, and higher plans remove AcadifyLab branding entirely and publish your own Android and iOS apps. See white label LMS and online exam software.
Cheaper to start, with student apps on all plans and global sales tax handled. Starter charges 7.5% per sale; Builder ($69) removes it. Certificates and branding removal come on Growth. See our Teachable pricing guide.
Richer course experiences, with interactive video, AI-assisted assessments and SCORM. Certificates start on Pro Trainer ($79), and full white-label with SSO and API on Learning Center ($249). See our LearnWorlds pricing guide.
More expensive, but it includes email marketing, funnels and a website builder, so compare it against Thinkific plus the separate tools you pay for. See our Kajabi pricing guide.
A simpler all-in-one with a community, courses, downloads, coaching and email. Shaker ($84 billed yearly) removes Podia's transaction fee.

Teachable is the most similar for self-paced courses. AcadifyLab suits courses with live classes and tests. Kajabi suits creators who want marketing tools built in, and LearnWorlds suits richer interactive courses.
AcadifyLab issues completion certificates on every plan. On Thinkific they start on the Start plan.
AcadifyLab publishes Android and iOS apps under your own brand on its higher plans. Teachable includes student apps on all plans, and Thinkific sells its branded app as an add-on.
On plan price, yes: Thinkific starts at $40 a month billed annually and Kajabi at $143. Kajabi includes email marketing and funnels, so compare it against Thinkific plus those tools.
Teachable Starter ($29 a month billed annually), LearnWorlds Starter ($24 plus $5 per paid enrollment) and Skool Hobby ($9 plus a 10% transaction fee) all have lower entry prices, but each adds a fee on sales that can make it dearer as you grow.
